Journal policy

Scientific journal Bulletin of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. The series "Art education: art – theory – methodology" with a frequency of 4 times a year in the online (electronic) format is issued in the following deadlines: No. 1 until March 30 of this year, No. 2 – until June 30; the third issue – until September 30 and the fourth issue – until December 30.

The purpose and thematic direction of the journal are to cover the content and results of research by domestic and foreign scientists in the field of history and theory of art and culture, philosophical, sociological, psychological, and pedagogical issues in art, as well as the methodology and methods of teaching in art education.

The main directions of the journal's topics:

• methodology, theory, and practice of teaching fine arts, music, and other art disciplines. Research on modern topics in the field of cinema, theater, video, photography, etc.
• historical development of art as a special form of human creative activity;
• interrelation of art theories and methods of artistic and aesthetic education;
• the impact of art on personal development, psychology of art;
• methodology of art education as the basis of the system of mastering art in a pedagogically organized process, self-education, and artistic and creative activity;
• improvement and development of modern methods and technologies of art teaching in the system of extracurricular, general school, and vocational education.

The journal presents to the scientific community the results of innovative research in these areas.
